Extremely peaceful and a little too quiet. We had amazing experience here with 2 nights. The rooms are lovely cozy fit and traditional with a simply stunning view across the gorge and the fruits-garden. Sitting in the restaurant with down (many coconut-wood steps) into the gorge to see the peaceful river was fantastic. You could feel as if you were in the middle of an untouched jungle with birds singing all the time. We loved this place no negative the only slight down was there not being a huge fruit-garden to cool of in. Staffs especially were great and helpful. Hotel offered complimentary tours by boat to floating market and some local handicraft villages.

The friendliness and openness of the owner and her team, the food prepared by the owner, the 'extras' at no charge (a bike trip around the village, a boat trip to a floating market, and an evening boat trip on the river), the fresh fruit, the peaceful location and ambience, the owner's help in providing local language instructions for the taxi driver, the chance to experience local life in a homestay environment.

We liked the open bamboo bungalow and the common room/restaurant. There are no locks or keys and but when you arrive, you feel a spirit of trust, like at home. It was very relaxing and you could do as you pleased. We apriciated the free water, coffee, tea and fruits and the food was excellent. The best tour was the bycicle ride through the village. Theu, the manager, built up a very cosy place with a lot of charme!

Beautiful location and very nice and caring hotel keepers! The bike tour with the hotel keeper was the best part of our journey, they showed us the real Vietnam. The rooms are charming and you feel very comfortable, part of the nature. We can really recommend Nguyen Shack. Sarah and Michael

Very lovely hotel! Combination of price and quality is excellent. Really the best place for independent exploring Mekong life. Bike ride and boat included in the price. Hotel owner itself accompanies you on these trips. Because the hotel is small, the chance that this trip will be private and only just for you. Many thanks to Nguyen Thi Theu and Maxim for our "home" stay in a hotel!)) P.S.Tasty home cooking!

First of all - the service. The owner is doing everything to make the visitor happy. She takes care of all the details, is extremely helpful and flexible in terms of timing - which for us - travellers with small children makes a huge difference. Location - in the heart of Mekong Delta - truly, close to local societies not really at the touristic path. Who is really willing to see how the life is here, should go for it. Food - delicious. Not really long menu, but some say - less is more. Jamie Olivier would love it - natural, local ingredients, with heart and soul. You would love it too. If you want to explore the real life there, taste local cuisine and be really veeeeeeeeery close to nature - go for it.
Make sure you understand what this type of place is all about. Do not expect luxury or air conditioning. Be prepared for lots of different animal sounds in the night, some being really close to you. If you accept it - it will pay off twice...

The hostess Theu was absolutely delightful and her cooking excellent. It's a wonderfully quiet location to escape the chaos of the city. Theu's tour to meet the local villagers was one of the highlights of our trip. The cabins are new, but made using bamboo and thatch in the traditional way.

This was the best location for us in Vietnam. Don't expect great comfort but you will realy see the Mekong Delta off the beaten track. Our kids loved visiting a local school. All tours bij boat and bike are included in the room price and the food is simple but good.
Beware that location is hard to find and let your taxi driver call the number of the homestay for directions before leaving. The floating market of Can Tho is actually not a real market anymore. The boat trip in the early morning was nice though.

What an amazing place! Unique location, best service - everything you need! TryThe Funky Coconut! :) All of the offered trips are wort it. Food is amazing and you get to try local (as you'll see - very local) rice wine and rum. The first one is a bit strong, but worth trying. The other one very smooth - couldn't stop drinking! :)
